Interpreting and Translation Services

TNOLA Languages provides comprehensive language services at the most competitive rate. After observing a lack of professional interpreting and translating services in Louisiana and the Gulf South, we assembled a team of certified and professional linguists and formed TNOLA Languages . As a New Orleans-based company, we provide quality language services and specialize in complex translation, medical and legal interpreting, and more.

Translation

Our linguistic experience ensures that our clients are provided with the highest quality translation services in New Orleans and across the Gulf South. TNOLA Languages’ experience in translation allows us to connect you with a translator that best suits your specific project. Our main objective is to provide quick, cost-effective translation services that are built on the highest quality processes. We work with a diverse set of clients and handle projects of any scale.

At TNOLA Languages, we provide translation for all of your documentation needs. Examples of common content pieces that require translation include:

  • Websites
  • Birth Certificates
  • Declarations
  • Contracts
  • Legal Judgments
  • Immigration Documents
  • Medical Records
  • Patient Instruction and Signage
  • Intake Forms

Because language is always evolving, cutting edge AI technology like Google Translate is still a long way from eliminating the need for human translators. There is only so much new translating technology can do to keep up with the ever-changing written word, and misunderstanding the meaning behind legal or medical documents can have disastrous consequences. That’s why it’s crucial to have a professional team of experienced translators at your side that can both understand and work with any documentation. Don’t let language create a barrier between you and your obligations

On-Site Interpreting

On-site interpreting offers a dependable and exact face-to-face interpretation experience. Having a professional on-site interpreter provides clients with the advantage of not only hearing but also seeing their interpreter, which leads to a more accurate understanding of the material. A qualified interpreter who is physically on site can make you feel calmer and more secure during a stressful situation when interpretation is most needed. Most on-site interpretations provided by TNOLA Languages are in the legal, medical, and education fields. These on-site interpretations can include:

  • All Types of Legal Proceedings
  • Depositions
  • Client Prep & Interviews
  • Physical Therapy
  • Medical Appointments
  • Mental Health Visits
  • Parent Teacher Conferences
  • Disciplinary Hearings
  • School Events

There are two main types of on-site interpreting: consecutive interpreting and simultaneous interpreting. Consecutive interpreting is the process in which the interpreter takes turns listening and speaking with the source language speaker. Notes are taken while the source language speaker is talking, and once they are finished the interpreter conveys the message to the client. Simultaneous interpreting is when the source language speaker continues to speak while the interpreter relays the message at the same time to the client. Because our range of clientele and subject matter is so diverse, we pair each client with an on-site interpreter that is skilled and knowledgeable in each particular subject matter.

Conference Interpreting

If you have ever attended an international or professional conference you may have noticed a conference interpreter at work. The majority of conferences use simultaneous interpretation so the interpreter speaks at the same time as the source language speaker. This can be done for an individual client or a large number of people. As more conferences are held abroad while simultaneously more international visitors are coming to the U.S. for business conferences, conference interpreting services have never been more important. Our skilled interpreters allow accurate and easy-to-comprehend conference interpreting so our clients get the most out of every conference they attend.

At TNOLA Languages, we examine the layout of the conference room or auditorium to establish the best place for the interpreter to set up. We run a thorough site inspection before the conference to make sure that all the technical support requirements are met for a smooth interpreting process. We collect agendas, event schedules, and other documents beforehand so our interpreter can have full knowledge of the conference before it even starts. In many cases, interpreters may have their own booth that gives them privacy while not distracting the audience. As the conference begins, the interpreter relays what is being said to the client through headphones with only about a 2-second delay. Conference interpreting services can best be utilized in:

  • Business Conferences
  • Training Seminars
  • Lectures
  • Presentations
  • Meetings

Over the Phone Interpretation

Over the phone interpretation is a 3-way conference call with you, the interpreter, and the party you’re contacting. At TNOLA Languages, our over the phone interpretation is a quick, secure, and convenient way to conquer language barriers no matter where your party is located. Many don’t realize just how many languages and dialects there are in the world. For example, the government of Mexico recognizes 68 distinct indigenous languages alone. Keeping this in mind, it can often be difficult to find appropriately qualified linguists for languages of limited diffusion. In these instances, the only feasible option may be to utilize over the phone interpretation. Our interpreters are available to assist you in a prompt and professional manner. Industries that regularly take advantage of over the phone interpretation include:

  • Government Agencies
  • Doctors Offices
  • Law Firms
  • Court Systems
  • Nonprofits
  • Corporations
  • School Systems
  • Hospitals
  • Social Services

Our over the phone interpreters solve the problem when it comes to multilingual communication. We allow you to speak with anyone anywhere by bridging the communication gap quickly and efficiently.

Not only does over the phone interpretation make for easier and more fluent communication, but having an interpreter also eliminates the risk of miscommunication which decreases liability in high-intensity situations. Telephones are the primary means of communication, and if you are doing business with someone abroad, or are handling a legal or medical situation and need to know exactly what is being said, an over the phone interpreter can step in and act as the go-between to make sure that you get the correct information every time.

What have others said about our work?

5/5

TNOLA provides an amazing service, and with a smile! The interpreters are of the highest quality, as are the translations. They are easy to communicate with, and flexible with upcoming dates, etc. I would not use any other service for my interpretations and translation needs!
